The mineral rights covering the western portion of the Eastville Prospect are held by Scotia Mine Limited (subsidiary of EDM) (Exploration Licences 50691 and 09674)
Geology
The Eastville Prospect is a sediment-hosted strata-bound Lead-Zinc deposit, hosted within Meguma Supergroup meta-sedimentary rocks of Cambro-Ordovician age. The Lead-Zinc mineralization occurs for approximately 3 kilometres along strike within the area of EDM's Mineral Rights. Mineralization occurs around the transition zone between the predominantly meta-greywacke Goldenville Group and the overlying, predominantly argillaceous Halifax Group.

The transition zone is locally anomalous in Zinc, Lead, Barium, and Gold. Mineralization extends over a stratigraphic interval of 100 metres. Mineralization-bearing units are on the northern limb of a large ENE-trending syncline, with beds dipping 45-80 degrees.
Previous Exploration Results
Diamond drilling campaigns carried out in the late 1970s and early 1980s confirmed the presence of zinc and lead mineralization, which resulted in most drill holes running good Zn-Pb intersections. These results are historical and are not considered reportable to NI 43-101 standards.
Exploration Potential
The Prospect is at the stage that additional drilling is required to determine the extent of mineralization in this area. Relatively shallow bedrock mineralization makes an appealing target for a program of reverse-circulation (RC) drilling. The highly anomalous levels of lead and zinc in recent soil sampling results indicate at the unresolved potential in the West and House grids of the Eastville Prospect.
